Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to the questions families and supporters ask most. If you don't see what you're looking for, we'd love to hear from you.
For families seeking support
What should I do if I've been diagnosed with a complicated pregnancy?
First, we're so sorry you're walking through this. Receiving a difficult prenatal diagnosis can leave you feeling scared, overwhelmed, and alone — but you don't have to face it by yourself.
The Claire Foundation exists to come alongside families experiencing complicated pregnancies, pregnancy and infant loss, and extended NICU stays. We encourage you to reach out as soon as you're comfortable. Whether you need someone to listen, practical resources, a care basket, or financial support, we're here to walk this journey with you.
Is there a cost?
No. There is never a cost to receive support from the Claire Foundation.
Every care basket, resource, and financial scholarship we provide is made possible through the generosity of our donors — so that families can focus on what matters most during one of the hardest seasons of their lives.
Can someone apply on my behalf?
Yes. In fact, many of our requests come from hospital social workers, nurses, physicians, pastors, family members, or close friends.
If you know a family who could benefit from the Claire Foundation, we encourage you to submit a referral. We'll thoughtfully review each request and connect with the family as appropriate.
How do I request a care basket?
Simply complete the care basket request form on our website. You may request one for yourself or submit a request on behalf of another family.
After we receive your request, a member of our team will review it and contact you if any additional information is needed. Our goal is to respond as quickly as possible so we can provide support when it's needed most.
Giving & donations
100% of your donation supports families
The Claire Foundation is run entirely by volunteers — we have no paid administrators or salaried staff. That means every dollar you give goes directly toward care baskets, scholarships, and practical help for families in crisis, not overhead.
Where does my donation go?
Every dollar donated directly impacts families facing unimaginable circumstances.
Your generosity helps provide thoughtfully curated care baskets, emergency financial scholarships, funeral assistance, mortgage and utility assistance, travel expenses, NICU support, and other practical needs for families navigating complicated pregnancies, pregnancy loss, infant loss, or extended hospital stays.
Because of generous supporters like you, families receive not only financial help, but also the reminder that they are seen, loved, and not alone.
Are donations tax-deductible?
Yes. The Claire Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Your donation is tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law.
After making your gift, you will receive a donation receipt for your tax records.
